• Refrain from gossip about other players, especially if they are not present.
• Do not solicit other players for gifts or loans of money.
• Welcome the new players into the chat room. Remember they may feel shy or unsure and your greeting can make the world of difference.
• Try to remember that there are some people in the chat room that live in different time zones and speak different languages. Don’t worry about typing or spelling errors – they’re very normal. It’s also a good idea to avoid typing in capital letters, as this is considered yelling in Internet-speak. If you really want to emphasise a word, put asterisks around it.
• A last piece of online Bingo etiquette is to remember that there is a real person on the other computer, with moods, feelings and insecurities, just like yours. Be sensitive to them. And last, but definitely not least, remember to greet and be respectful to the chat room monitor (CM). They spend hours in the chat room making sure everyone is having fun and playing fairly.
